Dohány Street Synagogue
As the highlight of the tour, you visit the Dohány Street Synagogue (interior visit), which is the largest in Europe and the second largest in the world. You also get a local guided tour in the Jewish Museum, where you get acquainted with the Hungarian Jewish heritage trough a unique collection of art pieces from Hungary and Eastern Europe, and the rich tradition of Judaism, its holidays and everyday life. A separate room commemorates the Hungarian Holocaust.

Stepping out of the hotel you can get to the Liszt Ferenc square through the Király street, the most Budapest alike street. Reaching the Liszt Ferenc Square, you can take a look at the Hungarian Music Academy's building, the flagship of hungarian classical music, named after Ferenc Liszt.
Here you would have the opportunity to try out one of the numerous Tripadvisor leader restaurants.
After a delicious Lunch, get the direction to the Opera House. With a good timing you can catch a guided tour in this world-famous building with a mini concert. After this breathtaking experience you can pass by the luxurious designer stores on the Andrássy avenue, the Hungarian Champs-Elysée.

After you have had a taste of Budapest's cultural and architectural heritage on you arrval day, the adventure can go on today. To be able to manage visiting all the famous sites in the city, the Hop-On Hop-Off sightseeing buses can come in handy from today on. It is worth getting firstly to the Hungarian Parliament Building. This is one of the main symbols of the city and also one of the best-known structures in Europe. This breathtaking monument can be visited all day long, there is guided tours starting in every 15 miutes on different languages.
The famous memorial "Shoes on the Danube Bank" is situated only 300 meters away southly from the Parliament. It gives remembrance to the 3,500 people, 800 of them Jews, who were shot into the Danube during the time of the Arrow Cross terror.
If you walk along further southly on the Danube shore, you are going to see from the distance the silhouettes of the emblematic Chain Bridge. This bridge was the first permanent stone-bridge connecting Pest and Buda. Before the iron structure was built, the Danube river could only be crossed by boat or by foot when the waterway would freeze over during winter. Two stone lions are guarding the bridge on both ends. It is a widespread urban legend in Budapest that the lions of the Chain Bridge do not have tongues.
If you cross the bridge, you are going to see the Castle Hill Funicular's station on the Clark Ádám square. The special train line was opened in 1870. This funicular rail was the second in Europe, only the city of Lyon had a similar transportation system at that time. The length of the line is 95 meters, the elevation is 51 meters. The system was constructed for a speed of 3 meters/sec, but it was reduced later by 50%, for the passangers' request.
With the Funicular you will reach the Buda Castle very fast. The imposing Buda Castle overlooks the city from its elevated position atop the Castle Hill rising forty-eight meters above the Danube. The castle has had a tumultuous history that reflects the ups and downs of Hungary's fortunes.
Today the castle, often referred as the Royal Palace, is the home of a number of cultural and religious institutions, Matthias Church, Fisherman's Bastion, National Gallery, Presidential Palace, Alchemist's Lab and further more. Even a Labyrinth and "The Hospital in the Rock" can be foud underneath the Castle Hill, which is one of the most unique and fascinating attractions of Budapest. It was built as a secret military hospital and bunker – nowadays it's the biggest Hungarian waxwork exhibition with more than 40 figures, and a lot of original machinery and furniture that are still in working conditions.
In the castle you can find many of Budapest's finest restaurants, so the Castle is perfect place for a delicious lunch.
After the lunch, you can make your way down the Castle Hill on foot, taking the stairs. It leads you to the freshly renovated Várkert Bazár. It was originally an arcade of boutiques, before it became the Youth Park, where Hungary's most famous pop and rock bands played from the 1960s to the 1980s. Closed in 1984, the Várkert Bazár became neglected, and was even marked for demolition. Luckily it has rather been enovated in 2014, this lofty series of promenades houses today a cultural space with exhibition areas, a neo-Renaissance flower garden, a park and a cinema. It also provides access to the Royal Palace by escalator.
This late afternoon could be the perfect time for a boat ride on the Danube. Without a doubt this is one of the highlights of a Budapest holiday. The ships are starting on the Pest side of the river, near the Erzsébet bridge, and offering different kinds of foods and drinks as well during the romantic flowing.
After the relaxing ride, the ship is going to return to it's stating point.
After the ship has returned to the dock, you can reach the Váci utca by a few footseps. Walk along the street and take in the atmosphere, the bustle and the stunning architecture of the street's buildings. Withal being the most famous shopping street of the city, a lots of restaurants are offering here the Hungarian kitchen's masterpieces, so it's even a perfect place for your dinner today.

After your historical and religious tour, you will be ready to visit the teeming Great Market Hall. The Great Market Hall is the most beautiful and largest of all Budapest market halls. You do not need any alpinist equipment to climb to the top of the Gellért Hill. Citadel is a fortress atop Gellért Hill is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an emblematic symbol of Budapest. Today we think of Citadella as a symbol of freedom. It is also an excellent lookout point and photo location, over the beautiful bridges straddling the curving Danube, Buda Castle, Parliament, the Pest embankment and the Buda hills. We also find the Liberation Monument atop the fortress, a dramatic statue that commemorates those who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Hungary, depicting a proud lady who has been watching over Budapest since 1947.
Toddling down from Gellért Hill one miraculos square coming closer and closer to you, this is the Gellért square. The square has several magnificent landmarks. It is dominated by the Gellért Hotel and Bath, sometimes called the "Grand Old Lady" of Budapest. It's an iconic hotel with the most elegant thermal bathhouse of Budapest. Diagonally above the bath entrance is the Rock Chapel, home to the only Hungarian-founded Christian order, the Paulines. During the Communist regime the chapel was walled in, and the order was disbanded and some leaders were prosecuted and jailed. Across the Danube from the Gellért stands the University of Economics, and adjacent to the square is the Technical University of Budapest.
After you are amazed by the square and the hill, get the direction for one refreshing coffee and cake in a Palace. If you yearn for a touch of aristocratic atmosphere, drop in for a coffee to the New York Cafe and immerse yourself in authentic 19th-century surroundings amid gilded and marble surfaces, ornamented with carved wood and crystal.
To continue the luxury and brilliance take a short walk to another treasure in Budapest. Andrássy avenue is Budapest's own Champs-Élysées, a showcase boulevard of significant institutions, embassies, high-end boutiques and villas. The busy downtown stretch between Erzsébet tér and Oktogon is dominated by luxury brands from Gucci to Louis Vuitton.
From Oktogon to Kodály körönd, the avenue is expanded by a service road and a tree-lined walkway on each side. Here, you'll find the House of Terror, a unique museum mainly focused on the horrendous aftermath of incarceration and torture after the 1956 Uprising, in the building where it all took place.
This avenue leads you to a breathtaking sqaure, called Heroes Square. Two colonnades display 14 emblematic figures from Hungarian history, and form a semi-circle around the centrepiece column, which itself is surrounded by the seven original chieftains and topped by the Archangel Gabriel. Flanking each side of the square are two major cultural institutions the Museum of Fine Arts and the Art Gallery, home of temporary exhibitions.
In the neighbourhood of the Heroes square you can discover the largest park of the city. Take your time, to explore this green gem of Budapest. Here everyone will find something to do no matter young or old, single or have kids. The best way to explore the park is to take walk from its one end, Vajdahunyad Castle, to the other end the Zoo. Vajdahunyad Castle stands on an artificial island in the Városliget Lake and is accessible via four bridges. The statue of medieval chronicler Anonymous sits in its interior courtyard.
Here comes the time for the relaxation! Splash in the Széchenyi Baths, one of the largest and most ornate spa complexes in Europe. Have a rest in three outdoor pools and a warren of indoor ones, saunas and steam rooms. In the main pool, the sight of old locals playing chess in the water is one of the classic images of Budapest.

We invite you for a scenic tour to the "cradle of Hungary" to merge in history! We take a ride to the former royal towns of Hungary. In Esztergom from Cathedral Hill you can enjoy the best view opening onto the river and to Slovakia. You may visit the Cathedral, the largest Roman Catholic church of Hungary. We cross the river and the border to Slovakia to have the stunning view from the opposite side.
We proceed to Visegrád, the heart of the Danube Bend, where we will treat you with 3-course lunch. Our restaurant overlooks the river bend and the famous castle that was once a seat of the Hungarian kings. We stop at Solomon Tower, once the prison of Count Dracula.
The tour continues to Szentendre. Explore the town of artists and arts, famous for its museums, bars, cafés and boutiques.

Ruin Bars
What's something truly unique about contemporary Budapest? The answer, without a doubt, is it's ruin bars. These impossibly cool places have evolved into an attraction that is perhaps as popular as the Buda Castle and the Hungarian Parliament Building.
They don't have large signs pointing the way, you don't hear any loud noise, and there's no line of people waiting to get in. But once you walk in and enter the inner courtyard, you find yourself in the middle of a hip, artsy, and funky bar bustling with crowds talking, dancing, and enjoying the laid-back atmosphere.
None of the furniture matches. It's all old. It's eclectic. It feels like they just ransacked your grandmother's house. The furniture is from the flea market and they are designed with weird antiques. The places haven't been repaired or fixed up, and there are still holes in the walls and visible pipes everywhere. But it all adds to the “underground" feeling each ruin bar has.
Each of these ruin bars has its own personality, and they usually host even flea-markets, farmer's' markets or give the opportunity to local music bands to play.
Though the ruin bar movement has become mainstream and less underground than it was when it started (or even a few years ago), many of the bars have done a good job of keeping their character and staying true to their roots.

The Folk Show is organised in the breathtaking theatre hall of the Neo-Baroque styled Danube Palace, located in heart of the city centre. Each performance starts at 20:00, and consists of two 40-45-minute sessions with a break in between.
The 90-minute folk show is brought to you by the best professional Hungarian folk groups. Their aim is to collect and play authentic folk music and dances and to preserve Hungarian traditions dating back centuries.

Tradition Tour
Our first stop is the capital of Puszta (Kecskemét), where you can enjoy a guided stroll among the main sights and historical buildings (Town Hall) of the city.

Visit the IMJT award winner historical Széchenyi Thermal Bath House, a must-to-do programme in Budapest!

Gellért Thermal Bath
The Gellért Thermal Bath, known world-wide and highly favoured by foreigners, built in a secession style, opened its gates in 1918. We find records about the "miraculous" springs spurting up on the territory of the Bath from as early date as the 15th century. These springs were later favoured by the Turks as well. At present, nearly all healing facilities may be used in the Gellért Thermal Bath. A lot of famous people visited the Gellért Spa for a splash, like Richard Nixon and Yehudi Menuhin. Queen Julianna also spent her honeymoon there.
